Horned Dung Beetle

Lars S. Madsen participated in an excursion last week, were the purpose was to find the rare Horned Dung Beetle - (Copris lunaris). The species has not been recorded in Denmark since 1982 and was belived to be extinct. Lars and a friend rediscovered the Horned Dung Beetle on the island of Samsų on the last known location for the species. You can see the images of the beetle below plus images of a few other nice species seen on Samsų.
